Afghan Medical Complex
Themis Brooks is currently advising an Afghan-based client on the establishment of their European presence and the creation of charitable entities in the Middle East and the Netherlands to support the development of a medical complex in Afghanistan.
The project is under construction and we are providing ongoing strategic advisory services throughout the project, including support during the design phase, the appointment of consultants, and continued guidance on planning and coordination to ensure effective project delivery.
The Afghan Medical Complex is a landmark in Islamic philanthropy, transforming zakat funding and Sharia-compliant social finance into lasting impact. Developed near Kabul, it delivers advanced medical and oncology care where it’s needed most.
Driven by integrity, efficiency, and measurable impact, the project demonstrates how faith-based development and Islamic finance can transform essential services.
The initiative exemplifies how philanthropic capital can be aligned with measurable outcomes, a model for zakat-driven impact investment and ethical, purpose-led project delivery.
